Totally agree - I trained to be a priest for 5 years so can relate to that. Think that was the Hyde Park gig he started with London Calling which was an incredible moment
Right? What a brilliant day. We were all lost, together, floating, together, away, together.
The shared experience, it saved us that day even for just a moment. We all walked out changed, fueled, something. All of us together.
When I was a boy at Church, on Good Friday at the end of the benediction we would slam the hymnals shut. Then the Priest would stand in silence with his head bowed for a moment, then walk out. Then we all walked out in silence, straight to the car. Moved. By the moment. By the change in energy.
Springsteen is like that. He stops us. Moves us all. Then we leave changed.
